To get the best selection of goods, it is advised to arrive in the morning as some vendors start packing up just after lunchtime. 

When traveling to the market, there are two options. You can take U-Bahn line 4 from Odeonplatz to Arabellapark and switch to bus number 183. Alternatively, you can take S-Bahn line 8 from Marienplatz and change to bus number 183 at Daglfing Bahnhof Ost station.
