I think we can agree that all great guest experiences begin with a great first impression. Upon arriving at Anantara Seminyak Bali Resort, I was immediately greeted with a warm welcome and great attentiveness by the staff. Seconds after checking-in, my bags were swiftly whisked away and well forgotten until the moment I entered my suite, where they were neatly placed by the walk-in dressing room.
After checking in, and before heading to the suite, I took a moment to enjoy the ambiance of the lobby. What I particularly enjoyed the most was the convenience of the two restaurants just outside the lobby – one with a poolside view and the other facing the crystal blue waters of the ocean. Right there and then, I knew exactly where I was going to spend my lunches and dinners while at Seminyak! I don’t often get to enjoy my meals with a view of an infinity pool and being only steps away from the beach at the same time.
Overall, I definitely sensed a unique personality of this venue within the few minutes of relaxing at the lounge of Anantara Seminyak Resort & Spa. Even though Anantara promotes a contemporary and modern aesthetics, there is still a distinct sense of Balinese and Indonesian culture through the overall decor of the property.
The Anantara Seminyak Suite with its ocean view is stunning – and I can’t pinpoint my favorite part of the room. Could it be:
a), the colossal bathroom with a sizable walk-in shower and with the waterfall shower head?
Is it b), the stylish decor of the suite that harmoniously combines contemporary design and arrangement with Balinese-inspired touches? Or c), that dangerously comfortable, larger-than-life king size bed that made me doubt every morning of ever getting up?
Or maybe d), the spacious balcony where you can just lounge around and enjoy the view of the ocean and glorious sunsets in your own privacy?
Or just maybe choice e), the jumbo terrazzo bathtub right on the balcony that seems to always call my name every night before going to bed.
But I think the right answer here would be: ALL OF THE ABOVE!
The overall vibe of the suite has this zen-like inspired aesthetic that seamlessly blend that extravagant aura that you would expect from a luxury boutique hotel. And let me tell you, that was probably one of the hardest time trying to pack my bags to leave (not just because I may have gotten some extra stuff whilst in Bali, and had a little trouble fitting them all in my bag….)
The ever so gracious staff at Anantara Seminyak Resort & Spa invited me to checkout the Penthouse and I came out of that room feeling like royalty. The Anantara Penthouse comes with a 2-bedroom suite and a private balcony for each; a fully-equipped kitchen, and private butler service to boot (fancy, huh?)
But my favorite part? The infinity pool that overlooks the Indian ocean.
I already mentioned earlier that the Anantara Seminyak Resort & Spa Bali staff immediately made a wonderful impression the moment I stepped foot on the property. I really enjoyed the highly personalized service – they even started calling me by name on the first day of my stay. The staff was just super attentive and genuinely made sure I had the most pleasant experience. I just don’t have enough superlatives to describe how happy they made me feel with their warm and affectionate smile at every encounter!
Apart from the staff, I also very much appreciated the luxury and highly-artisan amenities and custom toiletries that Anantara Seminyak Resort & Spa Bali provides. It was just all an added bonus to the very high-quality, individualized, guest experience.
Not much to say here other than Anantara Resort & Spa Bali is located on one of the island’s trendy and prime location in Seminyak. There are plenty of contemporary and chic boutique, bars, and restaurants nearby – all walking distance to boot.
But the best part of the location? Being only steps away from the ocean.
Not to Miss:
MoonLite Kitchen and Bar
Excellent breakfast selection! MoonLite Kitchen and Bar is located atop of Anantara Seminyak Resort & Spa, where the dining area is beautifully set up in the open air deck. I personally loved the wide array of international cuisine off the menu and in the buffet area – allowing me to devour not just my go-to Indonesian breakfast, but also other Asian favorites and western style breakfast…all at once! #NoShame #Glutton
Also, my personal drink of choice every morning – guava juice! I can’t think of a better way to start your day – looking out into the ocean with warm air breezing through, planning my day with a refreshing, exotic juice in hand.
MoonLite Kitchen is also a very popular spot to hang out and watch the sunset. Observe the crowd trade in their breakfast juices for some delectable cocktails and party the night away to trendy DJ beats.
Anantara Seminyak Resort & Spa Bali provides a fitness center, located on the rooftop adjacent to MoonLite Kitchen and Bar. It’s a spacious gym and provides plenty of machine for every muscle group. Now you have a reason to eat more! #EatNowBurnItLater
